Ingleside Chamber of Commerce Trash & Treasure Fishing Tournament (August 19,2017)

Tournament Rules

1. All team's participants must read and understand all tournament rules prior to fishing.
2. Guides are not allowed to enter, provide transportation, or knowledge to any team in the tournament.
3. Live or artificial baits are allowed.
4. There are no boundaries on the permitted fishing waters.
5. Fishing by means of land, surf, jetty, pier, boat, or any legal means of fishing is acceptable. However, sail lines and trotlines are not permitted.
6. Teams must stay within a line of sight distance while fishing.
7. Fishing begins 30 minutes before official sunrise Saturday, August 20th, and all anglers must be in the weigh-in line by 4 pm or their catch will not be counted.
8. All fish to be weighed in must be caught during tournament hours on the day of the tournament.
9. Fishing categories are:
 Heaviest Stringer (3 Redfish and 2 Trout for the team)
 Heaviest Redfish (Individual)
 Heaviest Trout (Individual)
 Heaviest Flounder (Individual)
 Heaviest Trash Fish (Individual)
 Heaviest Fish caught in a Kayak (Individual)
10. The official weigh-in will take place at Cove Park near the boat ramp 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
 All Redfish must be 20-28 inches to qualify.
 All Trout must be 15-25 inches to qualify.
 Note: *A red or trout outside the tournament length specified above is automatically disqualified.
 Note: *Once a team brings its stringer of fish (5 or less) to the weigh master, the team is not allowed to substitute or replace any of the designated fish on the stringer.
 Fish can be weighed in alive or dead. The weigh master will monitor dead fish for freshness.
 The weigh master has the final say in all matters concerning the weigh-in.
 Prizes are awarded by heaviest weight, not length.
 In the event of a tie, overall length will prevail.
11. All Texas Parks and Wildlife, Coast Guard, and Federal laws shall be abided by in this tournament.
12. The tournament director has the final say in all disputes over rule violations and tournament questions.
