Travel through town to Live Oak Park located on Belair Street and you will find tennis courts, a small pond which is home to many local and migrating birds, a baseball field, and two 18 hole disc golf courses nestled among Live Oak trees. Opportunities abound for bird watching at this park which is located on the Greater Texas Coastal Birding Trail and at Whitney Lake, a drainage project that is located on Kinney Lane. Non-profit organizations and community groups offer a variety of volunteer opportunities regardless of your interests or desired area of service.

Ingleside is situated in San Patricio County and has a versatile economic base with expanding job markets in tourism, the medical field, marine-related fields and more, all within a 20 minute drive. When your day is over you are a quick 20 minute drive to several local beaches where you can pack a picnic dinner or grab a fishing pole to catch dinner – for the more adventurous the Padre Island National Seashore is only one hour away.
